Who is judging the competitions?
We have assembled a strong mix of judges from a wide range of backgrounds, including venture capitalists, local investors, accomplished and successful entrepreneurs, executive business professionals from various industries, and leading academics in entrepreneurship, leadership and other business areas.
Will there be help available throughout the program?
Yes. Semi-Finalists will be paired with a mentor as well as admitted into several workshops and given access to numerous resources for their business.
I am graduating soon or have recently graduated. Can I still participate?
Yes. Recently graduated SMU alumni must have graduated within 10 months of the application submission date in order to be eligible.
Can I bring my family and friends to attend the competition?
Yes. Family and friends can attend.
Is the Awards Gala be open to the public?
No. The Awards Gala is an invitation only event.
